Hudu & UVexplorer Integration Connector

Integrate UVexplorer with Hudu to streamline your network documentation and asset management processes. This integration fosters collaboration and ensures easy accessibility of network maps and asset information for your teams.

A. Comprehensive Asset Inventory in Hudu

UVexplorer captures extensive inventory details for all network devices, including system information, serial numbers, IP/MAC addresses, host names, installed software, network interfaces, connections, route tables, ARP caches, BIOS information, and more. Users can conveniently access this detailed inventory within UVexplorer’s console or export it directly into Hudu for centralized storage and effortless sharing among teams.

B. Automatic Network Maps

UVexplorer thoroughly analyzes your network’s structure, comprehending the connections of your devices at the Layer-2 link and port level. This enables UVexplorer to automatically generate detailed network maps and keep them updated whenever changes occur. Through seamless integration, UVexplorer’s network maps can be automatically exported into Hudu.

The automated creation of network maps at scheduled intervals ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including NIS2.

C. Seamless Export to Hudu

The integration process between UVexplorer and Hudu is easy to setup. Follow these steps to export your network maps and device inventory directly to Hudu:

1. Go to the Settings tab and select ‘Integration Settings’, then select Hudu and click ‘Edit’. 

Now enter your Server URL and API Key, then check ‘Enabled’ and Save:

2. Go to the Map View and right click the free space and go to Export -> Export to Hudu…:

3. In the Export to Hudu menu, click Connect. Then select the appropriate Hudu Company Name

Then checkmark the following boxes as needed. If you checkmark Export Map to Network, you will need to fill in the Network name in order to start the export.

Once all details are entered, select Export:

D. Viewing Device Details in Hudu

After the integration has been run from UVexplorer the device details and all information can be viewed in Hudu. 

1. Open Hudu and go to the appropriate Company. The imported devices are listed under Network Devices in the Other category:

2. All of the devices from UVexplorer have been imported into Hudu for your collaboration with teammates:

3. Depending on the device, serial number, description and other data will be displayed. The Startup & Running Configuration scripts are available as well:

4. Credentials are also exported from UVexplorer into the Passwords section:

5. The network map is saved to the Networks category in the Files area:

6. When selected, the network map will popup or save to the computer, depending if it is a PDF, VDX, VSDX or SVG file:
